About us
A lifelong love of dogs and a childhood spent on a working livestock farm shaped everything that led to the creation of Torr Farm Dog Day Care. I’m Anne Ferguson, and from the earliest days of growing up alongside Labradors, Border Collies, terriers, and other working dogs, I’ve understood the deep bond between people and their dogs.
That bond continues today with my own Labrador, Finn, who’s both my companion and an honorary team member here at the day care. Finn, like every dog I’ve known, reminds me daily of the joy, trust, and loyalty dogs bring into our lives.Before launching my own facility, I worked at a respected kennel and dog daycare, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. There, I developed a strong understanding of canine behaviour, group dynamics, and safe social play.

I’m proud to be Level 3 certified in Canine First Aid, and I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Maxwell Muir from Action for Dogs, a highly regarded trainer and behaviourist to help design our facilities, play areas, and daily care routines. Together, we’ve created a safe, enriching environment that supports the health, happiness, and wellbeing of every dog in our care.
